My name is Charlie
Christensen and I am the president and broker of
record for CWC Financial, located in San Rafael, California
–seven miles north of San Francisco.
I am considered a “rarity” in this county in that
I am a third generation Marin native, raising a fourth generation
of Christensens with my wife Donna.
I attended San Rafael High School and then spent 4 years
at the University of California at Davis and a year at Dominican College in San Rafael.
My educational focus steered me in the direction of home finance
landing me a position at The Capital Management Group as a Loan
Agent immediately upon finishing at Dominican.
During the nearly two decades which followed, I served in multiple
and varied roles at several larger firms such as–United
Savings Bank FSB; Alltel Information Services Mortgage Division;
Mortgage Telesis, Inc.; and Viking Capital. I was also involved
as an industry innovator and partner in a mortgage software company
whose technology is being used by many of the leading Fortune
500 companies today.
The combination of these experiences offers me a unique perspective,
as my career path has given me direct and extensive experience
in almost every aspect of the lending process. From Retail Lending
to Wholesale Lending, from Underwriting to Quality Control, I
know, firsthand, how to navigate the home finance process.
CWC Financial represents the culmination of these experiences.
Believing that there was a “better way” to help American
families realize the dream of home ownership, I founded the company
in 2000 as a boutique-oriented mortgage broker,
offering a full array of mortgage services to home buyers, home
owners and real estate professionals.
